Axel Skirt – Sew My Style December 2018

An awesome year of Sew My Style comes to an end today, can you believe it? I had such a great time as a leader for the project this year, and I truly enjoyed sewing up a few things out of my normal wheelhouse. I’ve been looking forward to the December pattern since we announced the schedule a year ago! The Axel skirt by Megan Nielsen has so many views to choose between, but version three was always my top pick! I came across this beautiful fabric from Style Maker Fabrics back in August, and scooped it up right away for this project.

Fringe Dress – Sew My Style September 2018

Happy September Reveal Day!! I don’t know why, but when I printed off this .pdf pattern it seemed ridiculously daunting to me. I’m not sure if it was the fact that the first page housed two tiny pattern pieces amongst other important information, or the number of pages, but when I printed it I immediately started brainstorming ways to avoid moving forward with this pattern – which is so silly, because I have truly waited ALL year to make this dress! The final result of my Fringe Dress is up on the blog today!

Halifax Hoodie – Sew My Style August 2018

Today marks the 8th Sew My Style reveal day, which means that we are officially ⅔ through this year! That is CRAZY! Even though it is very much still summertime here in Texas, the rest of the northern hemisphere is beginning to transition into autumn, making the Halifax Hoodie the perfect wardrobe addition. I absolutely love my version, so you will find me rocking it indoors in the AC with shorts for the next month or so still!
