I have this weird romantic fascination with big, billowy linen beach pants. Normally, in my head, they are white linen, but when I saw this “warm sand” color, I thought it would be perfect for my big beachy dream pants, but also a warm enough color that I might be able to extend the wear a little bit into autumn without looking super silly in my big white linen pants!

I have wanted these natural denim Persephone Pants for SO LONG you guys. I am constantly scrolling through the Persephone Pants hashtag on Instagram and making lovey eyes at all of the awesome pairs that all the other sewists in the world have made. I love the interesting balance of the tapered waist and the wide leg pant, and I’ve been so intrigued by the way this pattern comes together – no side seams!
While I don’t often buy ready to wear clothing anymore, I still hop online from time to time and see what is going on in some of my old favorite stores. I was browsing the website of one of my favorite little boutiques on our downtown square recently and saw some of the cutest sweater knit loungewear sets. Of course, loungewear has totally been having a moment this year, but most of the matching sets that I’d seen were made of french terry or sweatshirt fleece. I’d never considered using a sweater knit for pants, and I was eager to try it out!
