LadyBossBlogger Course – Is It Worth It? (+ Giveaway!)

When I first started sharing my me-made garments on Instagram, I never imagined that I would eventually start a blog or even consider monetizing any of my work. I simply wanted a little corner of the world dedicated to the clothing that I have sewn, where I could dive into conversations with fellow sewists. But as time went on, I started to wonder if there was a way to use what I was already doing to make a little money to supplement the costs I encounter along the way… And now I am halfway through the LadyBossBlogger “Make Money as an Influencer” course online, and learning SO MUCH. I’m sharing my initial thoughts today, as well as a link for 40% off of courses and a GIVEAWAY for a free course for yourself!!!!!!

July / August 2019 Recap

It’s RECAP time! I sewed up SIX stash fabrics over the last two months, which I’m super happy about! It was a super great couple of months, and here’s the outcome:

Ogden / Marigold Faux Jumpsuit

Last year as part of Sew My Style 2018, I made my first ever pair of pants – a tropical print pair of Tilly and the Buttons Marigold Trousers in this super lovely Rifle Paper Co. rayon lawn. They were a great intro into a very basic pair of pants, but they have never been 100% my style. I loved them with the white crop top I originally photographed them with, and I also wore them a couple of times with an off-white Ogden cami tucked in. I liked the comfortable, casual look of this pairing and ultimately decided that I’d use that last little bit of scrap fabric to make up a matching Ogden cami for a faux jumpsuit! So here I am, holding on to every last bit of summer in a monstera leaf printed faux jumpsuit!
