July Monthly Make My Stash – Wissew Camelia (Maxi!) Dress

I’ve never purchased so much yardage of one fabric at once as I did with this Art Gallery cotton voile! A couple of years ago, when By Hand London first released the Alix Dress pattern, I fell in love with the idea of the Alix Dress in this dreamy, dark floral, and purchased the SIX YARDS of this fabric needed to sew it up. I had dreams of the boho vibes a maxi version of the dress would give, but other projects continued to take priority and it kept getting put off, as I had nowhere in particular to wear it.

March / April 2019 Recap

Time for another Recap post! This two month interval was filled with collaborations – and for this reason, I didn’t sew much from my stash. I was thrilled to be asked to participate in the Style Maker Fabrics Spring blog tour, as well as another collaboration with Pine Crest Fabrics, AND a new pattern promotion with Deer and Doe! All of this on top of my planned quarterly make with Stylish Fabrics meant I didn’t have a lot of time or wiggle room for additional projects, but it did give me the opportunity to really think out each of these collaborations and actually come up with a really great combination of makes! Anna Maxi Skirt – Pinspiration Realized (Volume 2)

This skirt is a long time coming, guys. When I finally made my mind up to recreate a skirt that I’d long loved on my Pinterest boards, the Anna Dress came to mind immediately. I scoured Instagram and blogs looking to see if anyone had made a skirt version, and I surprisingly could not find one anywhere! Why aren’t more of us using this absolutely gorgeous pattern to make incredible maxi skirts??? See how I brought pinspiration to life with the Anna pattern here!
