When I get a vision in my head, I don’t let go of it very easily, and these pink Portobello Trousers are a testament to that tenacity. I purchased this fabric from IndieSew alongside a beautiful cupro jersey in my favorite shade of fern green. For some reason, I always get excited to make something green to wear on St. Patty’s Day, and I knew that the cupro jersey would make a really great Adrienne Blouse to wear this year. This rayon crepe was available on IndieSew at the time, and the colors complemented that fern green so well that I couldn’t resist making an outfit out of it. A few hiccups and unexpected issues (and inches!!) later…. Here are my Portobello Trousers!

When Cottoneer Fabrics asked me if I’d like to sew up one of their fabrics, I was so excited to say yes! Cottoneer is a new US-based online fabric store – their official launch was just under a month ago on January 18th. When the owner contacted me about their upcoming launch, I was so impressed by the collection of fabrics offered through the store. She’s got quite a lovely collection, and stocks some great basics (like pastel denims and stripey knits), as well as a number of lines through some of my favorite fabric manufacturers, such as Art Gallery and Cotton + Steel. I first fell in love with midi skirts last year, and I am so glad the trend has stuck around. In my opinion, midi skirts can stick around forever and I’ll be happy with it!
